Welcome to October! We don’t need to wait until the 31st to celebrate though – there are things going on all month!
Zombie Walk
Just in case you missed the previous posts and videos, the River City Zombie Committee held their October Zombie Walk last night – and it has been described as easily the best ever! Their Comic Book themed walk saw hundreds shamble down Whyte ave and eventually wind up on the steps of the Alberta Legislature – and they departed from there down Jasper Avenue. Sorry if you missed it – but there will be another one in April, along with some other zombie-themed fun we have cookin’ in the cauldron.

The Haunted Hike: The Half-mile of Horror
Got a chance to go to the VIP night of The Haunted Hike in Sherwood Park, and it looks like it’s going to be a CREEPY time this year! I encourage all of you and your friends to go – and remember your admission goes to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, and last year they donated over $54,000 dollars!
As with last year, there is NO PARKING near the site – entrance is by Park and Ride only ($2 return trip, ONLY from the 700 Bethel Drive Park and Ride station
The Haunted Hike runs Friday and Saturdays in October: 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27. KID FRIENDLY hours are from 6:00 – 7:00 and the SCARY hours start after the last Kid Friendly bus! The last bus leaves at 9:00 PM sharp – don’t miss it!
