haunTopic Radio Premieres – By Haunters, For Haunters
UPDATE: You can play the file on this page – Coming Soon- Downloads and iTunes subscriptions!
We realize that we don’t do enough to keep the Haunt and Halloween spirit alive in the off-season. Most non-haunters may not realize that it takes lots of time and hard work all year long to get your haunts ready. Even if you’re a just a home haunter you may be planning a new scare for this year, or next. And what better time to work on it than in the summer when it’s warm in the garage, which means you might need to start thinking about it now. Or, if you are blessed with a warm garage already, what are you waiting for?
To help keep people inspired and in the ‘ween state of mind Darryl Plunkie of dEdmonton and Brian Foreman of Scary Visions have started a podcast for haunters, by haunters. While they are doing some touchups to the haunTopic website Brian has released the first, introductory, episode on his ScaryVisions website.
Head on over to http://scaryvisions.com/hauntopic-radio/ to give the first episode a listen to and comment here or on our Facebook Page and let us know what you think!
Zombies are coming to get you, Edmonton!
In 2006 a strange site was seen upon the streets of our city as Whyte Ave encountered the precursor to the Zombie Apocalypse – sure, there were only a few dozen that first April, but that number has steadily grown. Last October there were over 400 zombies roaming the streets!
This year prepare for Whyte to be infected once again! Friday night, October 7th, the River City Zombie Committee once again leads the undead down Whyte, across the High Level bridge, to the Alberta Legislature grounds, and eventually to Churchill Square.
Do you have the guts to check out their Facebook event page and become undead?
As an added bonus, on Saturday night you can also get zombified for the First Annual Zombie Prom and BBQ
